Planes of Existence Update 1 Changelog


The goal of this update is to address some of the feedback recieved during the jam's testing period and to do things I should've done before shipping the game.

    Gameplay:

  •         Skirmish planes will now have a 100% chance to spawn atleast 1 GHOUL up until Difficulty 3.
  •         You can now discard one soul at Graveyard Plane.
  •         CHIMERA now gives 1 less orb as a reward.
  •         APPARITION now gives 1 less orb as a reward.

    Visuals:

  •         Fixed allignment of all gameplay objects (souls, enemies, powerups...). They should be all nice and centered now.
  •         Added text in top-right corner telling which plane of existence you are on right now.

    Sound:

  •         Souls now play "Enemy Hit" sound, when destroyed

    Wiki:

  •         Updated wiki to reflect on a new discard feature and removal of right arrow key functionality.
  •         Added a button instead of a <SPACE> prompt in the bottom right corner.

And yet, there is still more stuff to do:

  •     Add a HARD MODE.
  •     Add an ENDLESS MODE.
  •     Don't show any further pins in top-right small box at Difficulty 10.
  •     Add sound effects to every interaction in the game (primarily buffing).
  •     Change "press space to play" prompt in main menu to a button?
  •     Add an interactive tutorial or some kind of "helping hand" feature? Plus, a tutorial on how to click a mouse? Plus, a tutorial on how to read?
